Our proven experience in bridge construction has included the successful delivery of highly complex structures and situations. These have included significant fabricated steel superstructures, balanced cantilever construction, large-scale precast concrete installation, very heavy foundations with difficult installation conditions and often complex geometric shapes and access constraints.
We hold a B4 rating for our bridge construction capabilities, the highest rating required by state road authorities.
Our portfolio of completed projects includes bridges over water for road traffic, rail, pedestrians and cyclists. Delivery methodologies we have experience with include precast balanced cantilever, incremental launch and bespoke precast concrete girder bridges.
Over the years our barges, plant and personnel have installed drilled cast-in-place piles up to 3 metre diameter, driven steel tubes up to 4.3 metre diameter and erected 160 tonne precast concrete girders.
Our involvement can extend from foundation-only subcontracts through to full design and construct contracts. We have strong and enduring relationships with bridge construction specialists and often work in joint venture arrangements, bringing to our clients the required skills and expertise in a cost-effective framework.
