The City of Gold Coast HOTA (Home Of The Arts)\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div> Green Bridge is a locally transformative infrastructure project which involved the design and construction of a 130m long, 5m wide, four-span active transport bridge.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div> Unlocking access to and from Chevron Island and the Home of the Arts across the Nerang River through to the heart of Surfers Paradise.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div> The scope of works included:<\/span><\/p>\n Special Features<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n A central and unique feature of the bridge was an extensive colourful metal fa\u00e7ade encompassing the perimeter of the approach ramp. This artwork titled \u201c40 million mornings\u201d was developed specifically for the project following an extensive procurement process.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The structure featured 45 separate fabricated units, with more than half of the units installed over the waterway. The golden colour of the anodised panel was achieved through and anodising process. The electrochemical process converted the surface of the sheeting to a durable coloured finish what was fully integrated with the aluminium subsrate. The external cladding was mounted on marine-grade aluminium framing that was fixed to the pre-cast concrete wall of the bridge approach ramp.<\/span><\/p>\n\n
